Grantley Hall Ripon, North Yorkshire Wedding – Sam and Charlotte

If you’re planning a wedding at Grantley Hall in Ripon, North Yorkshire, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration.

Sam and Charlotte got married at Grantley Hall, which is a luxury hotel in Ripon, North Yorkshire with stunning formal gardens. It was the most breathtaking wedding and outdoor ceremony location, every hour that ticked by, I felt like I was at a fairytale wedding, right here in Yorkshire! I can’t wait to share with you the wedding photos from their special day in August 2021!

The ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate service which took place on the front lawn, overlooked by the beautiful hall. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading by one of the bridesmaids, it was such a personal service.

They decorated the ceremony location with the most colour and fragrant flowers lining the aisle and a beautiful flower arbour, which I loved. There were dragon flies & butterflies all flocking to the beautiful flowers that surrounded us all throughout the ceremony. The reception was held in the private Grantley Suite at Grantley Hall – I love this venue because the building is completely stunning inside and out and there are so many opportunities in the grounds for portraits. Weddings at Grantley Hall are amazing, because not only is the venue itself so breathtaking, but the staff go above and beyond to cater to your wants and needs, making sure your day flows perfectly.

Why Grantley Hall is a great place to get married

Grantley Hall is so peaceful and secluded, and is one of the most beautiful and exclusive places to get married in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The venue offers stunning overnight suites for your guests to stay in and a spa, if you and your guests fancy some relaxation time. And did I mention there are so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for your wedding photos?

The reception

The couple held their drinks reception on the terrace of the Grantley suite were the sun shone down on them all afternoon, the suite was adorned with more fragrant flowers which gave the wedding a real summer feeling, bringing the outside in on such a beautiful day and then a live band kicked off the evening events and really got the party started!

The couple

Charlotte wore a beautiful dress from Halfpenny London, with a detachable tulle skirt which can easily be slipped off for dancing, revealing a beautiful silk skirt underneath. A soft hair & make-up look complimented the delicacy of Charlotte’s dress and shoes.

The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry really gave me a feel for the type of summer wedding they were planning, with lots of fresh florals and a relaxed atmosphere. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they were so much fun to photograph!

She was extremely professional from our initial meeting, to receiving our incredible photos, but also super friendly, you just instantly like her! Last week we received over 1000 photographs to relive our day. I really don’t know how she does it but every single one was as beautiful as the next, and captured the day perfectly”
