Mr & Mrs Six, a beautiful couple from Washington DC, asked me to capture their beautiful wedding in Ireland during the Summer of 2017. I, being a destination wedding photographer also, jumped at the chance to capture their wedding. The wedding took place in the most beautiful venue, Wilton Castle in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The castle was burnt to the ground by arsonist in 1923 & recently renovated by the current owner, who renovated half the building into a beautiful B&B, leaving the rest of the castle rustic, the most beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony.
Mr & Mrs Six were engaged for 6 months before tying the knot in Ireland, their proposal story is one of the most romantic stories I’ve heard, whilst holidaying in the Australian Alps, they travelled to the mountains full of freshly fallen snow, where a violinist was playing their song. With family hiding out of sight waiting to set off fireworks when she said yes. You can see the proposal in all its glory here: https://youtu.be/_JwYMG0WHbU
The day itself was filled with joy and love, hair and make-up was done by the bride herself, with the bridesmaid making the cake and the beautiful bouquets. With the whole day taking place at Wilton Castle, it was truly magical & intimate.
“Arabella captured our wedding in a way we never could have imagined. She managed to catch the light and joy of each moment in her pictures. Arabella was so kind, flexible, and considerate. Choosing her as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made!”
I feel so honoured to capture Mr & Mrs Six’ wedding, it was truly a beautiful destination wedding! If you would like to get in touch with regards to me capturing your wedding, in Yorkshire or beyond, please get in touch here to discuss your needs, I look forward to hearing from you!
