Earlier this year I had the pleasure of working with some of Yorkshire’s finest wedding vendors on a wedding editorial shoot. I’m always so excited to be asked to collaborate on editorials as its the perfect way to network with other industry specialists and showcase our creativity.
The shoot itself was organised by the amazing Sian Chaplin of Sian Chaplin Events, every little detail of the day was planned perfectly, there wasn’t a thing Sian hadn’t thought of in advance. Sian was able to listen to our ideas and cohesively pull everyone’s visions together, she was on hand to help with every detail throughout the day, an invaluable member of the team!
Our host for our editorial was the beautiful Edwardian Chapelgarth Estate in Great Broughton, North Yorkshire. A charming house set within its own grounds, surrounded by beautiful countryside, this venue is perfect for an intimate wedding or party, with guest accommodation.
The absolutely impeccable cakes were created by Jo of White Rose Cake Design, Jo was also the mastermind behind our theme for the editorial, which was Ballet, fitting with my Fine Art Photography style perfectly. But back to the cakes, they were absolutely stunning, the attention to detail and the way they fit so perfectly with the ballet brief was amazing, so elegant with their blush tones and floral decoration.
Alison from Alison Jane Bridal provided our beautiful dress for our model to wear, Alison was on hand all day to make any quick alterations that were needed and style the dress perfectly for each shot. The dress & veil were exquisite, the detailing perfect for any wedding day.
Stephanie Duerden was our MUA for the shoot, the look she created on Kayleigh was beautiful, perfectly working to the brief of a natural, elegant look.
Catherine Elizabeth was our amazing hair stylist who was on hand last minute to join us on the day after our original stylist fell ill the day before. The look she created was absolutely stunning, so elegant and feminine.
Kayleigh Richmond was our breathtakingly beautiful model on the day, this lady is absolutely fabulous, braving the cold March day with no complaints. Taking direction easily as well as being confident enough to direct herself, a ballet dancer and a model all rolled into one perfect lady!
Jane of JB Creatives supplied the beautiful wedding stationary for our editorial. The beautiful hand torn edges and soft charcoal text worked perfectly with our ballet theme, on beautiful thick parchment paper, this stationary complimented the beautifully styled table flawlessly.
Last but certainly not least, our florist & stylist for the day was Sarah of Styling Farm. This lady is a very special lady, her and her creations genuinely create a fire inside me, her work simply inspires me to no end. Sarah is absolutely fabulous at creating the most spectaculer tables, bouquets and floral arrangements. There are not many words I can use to describe Sarah’s work, so I shall let these photographs speak for themselves.
It’s always a pleasure working on editorials with wedding suppliers, especially local wedding suppliers. It’s even more rewarding when one of the UK’s biggest wedding blogs feature it on their website! You can view the full feature & more images here:
